ABOUT YOUR SHOOT
How much does it cost?
A $50 deposit is REQUIRED to book your appointment. This fee is non-refundable but may be used towards your purchase after your session. Your deposit may not be used toward travel fees or hair and make up artist fees. If you choose one of our Prepaid Photography Packages, no additional deposit is required to book your appointment.
Your total cost is determined by you, depending on how many poses, prints, images on CD or retouching packages you choose. All prices are posted online. Visit our pricing page to get all the details.
What should I bring?
Anything vintage that makes you feel sexy and any props with sentimental value, like your favorite teddy bear or your guitar. Check out our ideas page for lots of other suggestions. If you have a specific idea in mind but don't have any props or costumes, contact us and we will try to help you locate them. Don't forget the high heels!
Do you provide the outfits?
While we do have a large selection of vintage wardrobe choices in a range of sizes, we suggest our pin-ups bring some of their own clothing as well. This way, your photos will come out uniquely you.
Do you shoot everyday clothing as well?
NO! WE DO NOT SHOOT MODERN CLOTHING. We shoot vintage and retro styles, not today's styles.
Do you have props?
While we do offer a wide range of items, bringing your own will make certain your shoot is different from anyone else's.
We have several props to choose from, such as old telephones, furniture, vintage hats, holiday items and more. Let us know ahead of time if you are looking for something specific and we will do our best to find it before your photo shoot. Custom props can also be built, however additional fees may apply. Where will the shoot take place?
We shoot in our home studio and on location. If you would like a location shoot, please contact us ahead of time with your location choice. An additional travel fee may apply depending on the distance. Travel fees start at $20.
What if I have to reschedule?
You must give us at least 24 hours notice to reschedule your shoot in order to keep your $50 deposit. If you reschedule within less than 24 hours notice, half of your deposit will be forfeited. If you do not show up for your appointment with no notice given, your entire deposit will be forfeited. All deposits and prepayments are non-refundable, so canceling your shoot will result in forfeiture of your deposit.
Deposits for one day specials and specials events, classes and workshops are non-refundable and non-transferable, so make sure you can attend before booking.
Is the photographer male or female?
Female!
When can I see my pictures?
You will view all your images immediately after your shoot. If you book a one-day special, your proofs will be emailed to you so you may select your final images.
When do I pay for my pictures?
You will pay for the images you choose on the day of your shoot. We accept cash and credit/debit card payments through PayPal. SORRY, NO CHECKS ACCEPTED!
How long before I get my pictures?
Please allow 5-7 business days for retouching and an additional 5-7 business days for prints to process and arrive. Digital images will be made available for download as soon as retouching is complete and approved by the client. The turn around for discount specials and pin-up parties may require additional time to process.
Where do I pick up my pictures?
Your prints will be available for pickup from the studio. For an additional $10 you may have them shipped to your door. At this time, frames are not able to be shipped. Digital images may be downloaded via a link we will provide you. If you prefer to have your images burned to a CD, a $10 fee will apply per CD.
When I buy a digital image, do I get the copyright?
No! Lone Star Pin-up retains the copyright to all images created. For high res image orders, we will include a letter authorizing you to print your images anywhere you like. Digital images must remain unaltered unless alterations have been approved by the photographer.
Do you offer payment plans?
We sure do! Click here to make a payment of $25, $50, $75 or $100 towards your pin-up shoot. We'll keep it on file until you're ready to book.
What is a pin-up party?
A pin-up party is an opportunity for 4-8 girls to have their hair and makeup done and get a great discount on a pin-up photoshoot. Click here for details on hosting your own pin-up party!
Do you do TFP?
We are not currently booking any TFP.
